Mental Health Awareness month (May) has come and gone, but there is never a wrong month to be focused on mental health – our own or our employees’. The American Psychological Association’s 2022 Stress in America poll found that nearly two in three adults reported the COVID-19 pandemic has changed their lives forever. We are experiencing a national mental health crisis. And while all communities and sectors are impacted, nonprofits, their employees and the communities they serve have been hit especially hard.

There are a growing number of businesses, governments, and nonprofits throughout the country – including the National Council of Nonprofits – that have signed on to a national campaign to support their employees’ mental health.

The attached article outlines some of the strategies – from both nonprofits and other sectors.
